Mission Statement:
Maintain the financial integrity of the Jefferson County Public School District through the development and implementation of controls, sound financial policies and practices. Provide total accountability to the Board, superintendent, business and citizens of Jefferson County. Serve all employees, students and parents efficiently and courteously.
The Finance unit interacts with and supports all schools and departments of the district through comprehensive financial services. Some of the responsibilities include: rental of school facilities, liability insurance, budgeting, payroll, accounting, accounts payable, banking services and other financial services along with the coordination of the Internal Audit department on internal controls and procedures.
