Hite Elementary

At Hite Elementary, our vision statement is “Hite, where we are inspired to grow and be lifelong learners.” This value is threaded through every aspect of our school, serving as a guiding belief shared by parents, staff, and the community. We are a proud member of the Energy Bus for School cohort implementing the leadership and professional learning of Jon Gordon. We have three rules that we discuss in our morning meetings every morning: 1. Be kind, 2. Work hard, and 3. Have fun! We truly believe that continuous improvement leads us to be our best selves and, ultimately, to improve our entire community. We pride ourselves on service to others in an inclusive environment.

School Highlights

• Offers researched-based instruction with four full-time Special Areas: library, physical education (PE)/wellness, Technology/Language and Culture/Makerspace for the Arts
• Provides social emotional learning for all students
• Provides enhanced technology instruction with full-time technology teacher
• Provides homeroom and specialized grouping, which creates a sense of family, challenges students with Project-Based Learning (PBL), and promotes cooperative learning
• Student activities:, soccer, cheerleading, orchestra, Quick Recall, Academic Team, cross-country, Kind Kids Club, Sewing Club, chess, concert band, Junkyard Hawks, jam band, drama, and more
• English as a Second Language (ESL) Program
