Ash Wednesday (Christianity)

Some employees and students may be absent for at least part of the day or unavailable for after-school activities.  For some Christian denominations,  Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent.  Some Christian students and employees may observe dietary restrictions and fasting during this time.
