The Chair of the Board of Education is calling a special meeting of the Board of Education to be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 5 p.m. at the VanHoose Education Center, 3332 Newburg Road, Louisville, Kentucky. The purpose of this meeting is for Board members to have discussions regarding the reappointment of the superintendent.

Portions of this meeting will be closed to the public pursuant to KRS 61.810 (1)(f) of the Kentucky Open Meetings Act and as interpreted by the Attorney General in 21-OMD-091.

The Regular Business Meeting will be held at 6 p.m. as scheduled. These meetings will not include public comments.

These meetings will be conducted via video-teleconference pursuant to KRS 61.823 and KRS 61.826. The primary location for these meetings and where all members can be seen and heard by the public will be Stewart Auditorium in the VanHoose Education Center. Members of the Board are permitted to attend in-person or via video-teleconference pursuant to KRS 61.826. Members of the public will have the opportunity to voice opinions or express concerns by submitting remarks via email. Remarks should be limited to 500 words or less and sent to the Assistant Secretary to the Board (angela.gilpin@jefferson.kyschools.us) for dissemination purposes prior to the meeting. Public remarks will be shared with each Board member and recorded in the Official Minutes.
