District Improvement Planning casts a vision and strategic actions for four years of purpose-driven progress. The strategic planning process to create a District Improvement Plan is collaborative and involves multiple stakeholders where leaders focus on priority needs, district funding, and closing achievement gaps among identified subgroups of students. As a leading urban school district that provides high-quality education for more than 100,000 students (about 1 of every 7 students in Kentucky), our vision is that students graduate prepared, empowered, and inspired to reach their full potential and contribute as thoughtful, responsible citizens of our diverse, shared world.
