Internet connected devices and technologies provide enormous benefit and convenience to our daily routines. In Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS), we value the rich learning and communication experiences that these technologies bring to our students, classrooms, and our community as a whole.
While the value of technology cannot be understated, JCPS is aware that these ever-changing advancements may also present some challenges and questions. Keeping our most precious assets, our students, safe online is extremely critical. As a leading school district, we believe the first step in addressing these concerns is through education. We know that our students must be taught to make good choices as they interact in these spaces for learning and for fun. We believe that with parents and guardians as our partners, we can help our students gain the skills, understanding, and dispositions that will enable them to be responsible and safe in the digital world.
