The Coordinator Minority Enterprise position assumes responsibility for the implementation of programs embracing diversity/equity within the community and serves as a liaison with other departments, schools, and outside agencies.
The Coordinator Minority Enterprise coordinates the development and implementation of Minority Business Enterprise/Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) procurement goals by doing the following:
- Facilitating the district’s contractor prequalification process
- Maintaining an updated directory of certified MBE/WBE
- Working with vendors and contractors to better understand and embrace MBE/WBE goals
- Conducting workshops with MBE/WBE to help with their development and expanding business opportunities, developing goals, and raising expectations
