15th District PTA General Meeting to be Held October 23

Principals and PTA/PTSA officers RSVP by October 17

Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) principals and their schools' PTA/PTSA officers are invited to PTA: Who, What, and Why? an informative and free dinner at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 23, with the 15th District Parent Teacher Association (PTA). 

Join JCPS Acting Superintendent Dr. Marty Pollio, Jefferson County Board of Education (JCBE) Chair Chris Brady, and other JCPS and PTA officers to learn more on what PTA is really about. There will be a meet and greet with the 15th District PTA and vendors from 5 to 6 p.m. The program begins at 6 p.m.

There will be a brief General Meeting at this event. Learn about the following opportunities for student and family involvement:

  • Scholarships for graduating seniors
  • Advocacy skills to benefit all ages
  • Student performances and demonstrations
  • Principals’ testimonials
  • Starting an elementary PTA connection
  • Maintaining focus for middle school families
  • Title I

PTA: Who, What, and Why? offers something for well-trained PTAs, new PTAs, and schools that would like to learn about the benefits of increased family involvement. Come and enjoy a full pasta bar dinner, compliments of the 15th District PTA and the talented Culinary Program students of Western High.
