Dr. Aimee Green-Webb Named Chief of Human Resources

Green-Webb has dedicated her nearly 30-year career to the district

June 8, 2021 – Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) Superintendent Dr. Marty Pollio has named Dr. Aimee Green-Webb to be the next Chief of Human Resources.

“Dr. Green-Webb is a proven leader in JCPS, and her years of experience make her the ideal person to take over as Chief of Human Resources.” said Dr. Pollio. “Our current chief, Jimmy Adams, who is retiring at the end of June, has made a positive change in this department, and we thank him for his hard work to make improvements. I know Dr. Green-Webb will continue to create new systems to best support our employees so they can best serve students.”

Green-Webb, who began in JCPS in 1994, is currently the Executive Administrator of Personnel for the district. During her career with the district, Green-Webb has held several roles in JCPS Human Resources, from specialist to project coordinator for minority teacher recruitment. Before that, she was a resource teacher, instructional coach, and classroom teacher.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity to serve others at another level,” Green-Webb said. “The Human Resources Division has made great gains in the last several years, and I am excited to maintain that momentum as we plan for the future state of JCPS.”

Throughout her decades of service to the district, Green-Webb has discovered a passion for helping people and finding solutions to difficult situations. She prides herself on being a positive change agent for the district.

“I truly believe that education is the great equalizer, and my goal is to lead the JCPS Human Resources Department by identifying, attracting, and supporting top talent who seek to improve educational attainment for our students,” Green-Webb said.

Green-Webb received her doctorate in educational leadership and master’s from the University of Louisville. She earned her bachelor's from Grambling State University.

She will begin her new role on June 28.
