Gallagher has been an educator for more than 25 years
March 16, 2021 - Dr. Trisha Gallagher is transitioning into the principal role at Binet School after working for Jefferson County Public Schools for the last 15 years.
Gallagher has been an educator for more than 25 years. She started her career in Pennsylvania before moving to Georgia and then landing in Louisville in 2003. She worked as an autism itinerant teacher and an autism program specialist for JCPS. Currently, she serves as the Manager of Due Process for the district’s Exceptional Child Education Department.
“My heart is full,” Gallagher said. “I am so excited for this opportunity to return to a school community and directly support students, families, teachers and staff. I literally jumped out of my seat when I got the news! Exciting things are coming.”
Gallagher earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and a master’s degree from West Chester University. She also has a doctorate from the University of Louisville.
Gallagher starts her new position April 5.
