June 23, 2020 JCPS Family Update: Summer League Prizes

This letter contains important information about great Summer Learning prizes!

Dear JCPS Families,

We have great news for JCPS students who are participating in our online Summer League options! They are eligible for tens of thousands of dollars in gift cards and other prizes sponsored by JCPS’ partners at Evolve502 and B96.5 and WDJX radio stations.

We hope these prizes will give your child an incentive to check out the fun, educational Summer League programs which can be found at this website. Here’s how the prizes work:

Three ways to win at Summer League:

1.)  Be at the top of the leaderboard

  • Gift cards ranging from $100 to $500 will be awarded to students who are ranked in the top 20 for their grade on the Summer League leaderboard at the end of the 6-week program. The more points students earn through completing challenges, adventures and programs, the higher students can climb on the leaderboard. Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of Summer League.

2.)  Participate in Summer League weekly

  • Students who log in each week will be entered in random drawings for fifty $100 gift cards and other prizes from B96.5 and WDJX. Prizes awarded weekly.

3.)  Social media challenges

  • Follow @JCPSKY and @Evolve502 on social media for weekly contests to win one of thirty $200 gift cards. Prizes awarded weekly.

Students who are participating in every Summer League program, including Adventures, AMPED, Lit & and EMPOWER can earn points toward the prizes. A JCPS team will oversee the student submissions. Please encourage your child to be honest about their participation so they remain eligible for prizes.

We hope your child will seize this new, different opportunity to participate in virtual summer camp and, perhaps, win a valuable prize along the way!
