Safety on the Bus
When it comes to transportation, student safety is our most important concern. Bus monitors are assigned to each bus to assist in the safe transportation of students. Parents should check their child’s bus number. Some students may ride one bus in the morning and another in the afternoon. Students will be picked up and dropped off at the same address. Parents should be outside at least ten minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive. All children must be accompanied by the parent/guardian or another authorized person who is 16 years old or older. No student will be released to anyone else! Students who are not met by an authorized person will be taken to the Emergency Drop-Off Center at Dawson Orman Education Center, 900 South Floyd Street, (502) 485-7008.
Parents who choose to provide transportation to and from school for their child should not bring their child to school early. Please walk your child to the classroom, and let the teacher or assistant know of your child's presence.
If an emergency arises creating a delay in picking your child up from school, please make an effort to notify the school. When a parent is late, it is a scary feeling for the child.
