Dear JCPS Families and Staff:
We have an important health update for you.
The map approved by our JCPS Board of Education to determine our COVID-19 protocols is the Kentucky Department for Public Health’s community levels map. Jefferson County is now in the red (high) level which means universal masking is required beginning Monday, July 25 for everyone who enters a Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) building or bus.
Universal masking is required until Jefferson County is no longer in the red (high) level. We will update you on the masking status at the end of each week.
Masks will be available for students, employees, and visitors who do not have their own.
JCPS’ current mask policy was approved by the Board in March 2022. The board voted to continue the same mask policy when it updated JCPS Health Guidelines Tuesday, July 19.
We will continue to follow CDC guidance and policies approved by the Board.
