The JCPS Archives and Records Center offers regular training for school and office personnel in the form of professional-development (PD) sessions. Workshops offer basic information about record-keeping requirements according to state and federal law and how the Archives assists with record keeping in the district.

2017-18, Fall 2017

This fall, the JCPS Archives and Records Center offers its records-management workshop as an online presentation, via JCPS Online (Blackboard). The presentation provides instruction about records-management requirements and the assistance the Archives provides.

The workshop is presented in a series of videos. They provide information on local requirements for records management and demonstrate use of the Kentucky Public School District Records Retention Schedule to identify records. The presentation totals approximately one hour.  

The presentation is a flexible schedule class, and registration opened September 25. Enrolled employees may have access to the class from Monday, October 2, to Thursday, October 19. Registration is capped at 60. If you are not able to actively participate and view all the material, please leave openings for others.
