The voluntary 403(b) Tax-Sheltered Annuity (TSA) gives all JCPS employees the opportunity to save and invest for their long-term financial goals.
Contributions are deducted from your pay before state and federal taxes are withheld. FICA and Medicare taxes are withheld to the extent the employee is subject to FICA and Medicare.
All earnings on contributions are sheltered from taxes while in the plan.
Withdrawals from the plan prior to age 59 ½ may be subject to tax penalties as determined by IRS guidelines. For all loans and hardship withdrawal requests and in-service exchanges, an Eligibility Certificate is required under the JCPS 403(b) Plan and can only be generated through Retirement Manager, effective April 5, 2010.
