Kindergartners showed their adding and subtracting skills within a Candy Story Project this year. They used problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts within their budget proving they are prepared and resilient learners. 

First graders were productive collaborators and culturally competent citizens while learning about holiday celebrations in other cultures. Students worked in groups to create a slideshow about their holiday to share with their classmates. 

Second graders work on becoming stronger readers by comparing two texts in small groups. They read "Tent School" and compared the research school to our own school!

Third graders filled their backpack with artifacts after completing their fractions pizzeria. Students learned real life connections using fractions in their every day lives.

Fourth graders became experts on bats. They learned all about their habitats, what threatens them and how they can help them flourish. Their learning about these endangered species won them a trip to the zoo. At the end of the year, fourth graders built bat boxes place around our school. 

Fifth graders celebrated the end of their "Esperanza Rising" learning by having a fiesta! They explored foods from the book as well as learning how to make yarn dolls.
