Our mission at Iroquois High School is to provide all students with the skills to be responsible, productive citizens who are college- and career-ready. We believe students can be successful in a variety of ways, so our students are provided multiple opportunities to explore different pathways providing the skills necessary to enter college and the workforce. With an ever-expanding Advanced Placement (AP) Program, an award-winning band, a strong Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC), and many opportunities for students to explore a variety of programs, Iroquois provides its students a chance to find and hone their respective talents.
- Cultural diversity at Iroquois High School allows for unique opportunities for all students to learn about the world around them.
- Innovative, project-based coursework is being used with small groups to advance learning across the curriculum.
- Freshman students are given an Academy experience where they can explore and eventually choose one of four pathways: Build, Inspire, Lead, or Design.
Academies and Pathways
Freshman Academy: Exploratory programs for all academies
Build Pathway: Prepares students to apply basic construction principles and technical skills in support of and in preparation for careers in the following: Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, Masonry, and Welding
Inspire Pathway: Provides a well-rounded liberal arts education where students are presented the opportunity to choose a creative focus throughout their four years of high school. Arts and Humanities focus courses include Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Visual Arts, Humanities, Guitar, Piano, and World Languages.
Lead Pathway: Allows students the opportunities to develop their leadership potential in business, specifically focusing on two areas: Administrative Support and Fashion Marketing. Another choice in our Lead Pathway is our Navy JROTC Program, which focuses on citizenship, character, and leadership. Student cadets can be part of multiple groups, including color guard or the rifle team, where they can develop skills and demonstrate pride in their work and their country.
Design Pathway: Offers engineering opportunities in robotics and architecture. Through cross-curricular and hands-on training, students learn to think critically about every aspect of the design and creation process.
