JCPS is reimagining education at the Minor Daniels Academy, which is the new name for a combined restorative pathways middle and high school on the site of the former Buechel Metropolitan High.
The school is named for a JCPS teacher and administrator who was actively involved in the community for many years. For instance, Minor Daniels helped establish Neighborhood Stations, which are now called Neighborhood Places.
Combining the middle and high schools addresses one component of a broader redesign of restorative pathways schools that JCPS is implementing to create multiple success routes for students.
