JCPS School Communication- The delivery method for school communications has changed. Moving forward, communications will be delivered in two formats:

1. Infinite Campus Messenger (emailed to the email address on record in Infinite Campus)

2. JCPS Mobile App and the “Rooms” feature.

Notifications will come to you via text message and/or email. Some will also appear on the Live Feed of the HMS website and on X @HighlandPROUD. Please make sure that you review your email address and phone number through the Infinite Campus Parent app to make sure that these are correct. If not, please email natalie.obryan@jefferson.kyschools.us to update your information.

Additionally, please download the JCPS App, turn on notifications and subscribe to Highland Middle School in order to stay informed of important announcements from both JCPS and Highland.

In order to add Highland and Rooms within the app, follow these steps:
1. Once you download the app and create your log in, you will immediately see communication from JCPS.
2. In the upper left corner of the app is a blue menu box (with three lines) next to Home.
3. Select the menu button and look for “Change School” at the bottom of the options.
4. At the next screen, select “See All Schools.”
5. On this screen, click the Blue + button and search for Highland Middle.
6. Once you see Highland, place a “check” in the box to the right and then select done.
7. Once these steps are complete, you will have the option to change between JCPS’s page and Highland's page. When you view Highland's page, you will immediately see an alert on the bottom of the screen indicating you have a message in “Classrooms” and “Announcements.”

The image is a visual of where the Highland Middle School car line drops off students in the morning and picks up students in the afternoon. Car riders join the line using Newburg Rd. and turning onto Speed Ave. Please be courteous to our neighbors. It's a single line drop off in the morning and a double line, zoned in the afternoon- green, blue, yellow and orange zones. Students will be taught about the car line on the opening days of school. We have procedures to make it smooth. All families who use the car line need a number. Come get yours at registration on Tuesday, July 29!

🌱 Why do we plant so late in the season? It’s not procrastination—it’s planning! Our garden is designed to hit peak productivity in August and September, right when our students return. That means our early harvest is just beginning now, and the best is still ahead! 🍅🌻 By timing our planting this way: ✅ Students get hands-on experience with real harvests ✅ We maximize our photo ops during the school year ✅ The garden becomes a living classroom—right on schedule Sometimes late bloomers really do win the race. 😉 #SchoolGarden #HandsOnLearning #BackToSchoolHarvest #LateButGreat #AugustAbundance
