Principal Statement

I am humbled and excited to serve as the Interim Principal for the 6th Grade Academy at Dr. J. Blaine Hudson Middle School. Impacting students is a deeply personal calling for me. My background, including a Ph.D. in Leadership and over four years in educational leadership, has prepared me for this role. I believe our success relies on close collaboration with our staff, families, students, and the California Park community to prepare our young people for their futures.

Our school truly embodies being the "School for the People!" It is a privilege to be part of the first middle school built in West Louisville in over 90 years, embracing every student from the area. Within the 6th Grade Academy, my immediate priorities are clear: ensuring student safety and well-being, fostering robust academic growth, and building strong family and community partnerships that connect us with local resources. I am proud to share that we are fully staffed with a team of experienced educators and administrators, cultivated to work with our incoming students.

This is a historic time for our community and our school. The story of Dr. J. Blaine Hudson Middle School will be one of unwavering resilience and profound success, mirroring the strength of the California Park community we serve.
