Good morning Lassiter Families, Due to the additional snow and ice on roads and sidewalks throughout Jefferson County, JCPS will utilize a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Students should follow their school’s established NTI protocols. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar. All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Wednesday. Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility as we navigate these winter conditions. Bus 1434 Families, please be aware that bus 1434 has made about half of its route but is currently stuck. We do not know the length of the delay for the remainder of the run. The garage is on their way to help get the bus unstuck. We will update you as we learn more.

Good afternoon Lassiter Families,

JCPS will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, 2/2/26.

  • Bus stop times are two hours later than their normal time. Please be patient as bus drivers will be extra cautious to ensure the safety of all students.

  • If your student is a walker, then please make sure your student's route to school is safe.

  • Car riders, please allow extra time for your morning arrival. Candleworth and many neighborhood roads are far from perfect, so please be extra cautious in the car rider line.

  • Doors will open at 9:00 AM for students.

  • We will dismiss at normal time, and all after school athletic and extracurricular activities remain as planned.

We are excited to welcome Lassiter students back to school tomorrow!
