Good morning Lassiter Families,

Bus 1434 Families, please be aware that bus 1434 has made about half of its route but is currently stuck. We do not know the length of the delay for the remainder of the run. The garage is on their way to help get the bus unstuck. We will update you as we learn more.

Good afternoon Lassiter Families,

JCPS will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, 2/2/26.

  • Bus stop times are two hours later than their normal time. Please be patient as bus drivers will be extra cautious to ensure the safety of all students.

  • If your student is a walker, then please make sure your student's route to school is safe.

  • Car riders, please allow extra time for your morning arrival. Candleworth and many neighborhood roads are far from perfect, so please be extra cautious in the car rider line.

  • Doors will open at 9:00 AM for students.

  • We will dismiss at normal time, and all after school athletic and extracurricular activities remain as planned.

We are excited to welcome Lassiter students back to school tomorrow!

Good evening Lassiter Families, After evaluating road conditions and school campuses, the district chose to utilize another Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day on Friday, January 30. NTI DAY | Today, our teams spent the day evaluating road conditions and school campuses across the District. While many main roads remain in good shape, several side streets and neighborhood roadways are still icy.

These conditions have led us to utilize another Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day on Friday, January 30. Students should follow their school-specific NTI instructions. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.

All athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Important Message
❄ NTI DAYS | After evaluating road conditions throughout the community, Wednesday, Jan. 28 and Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, will be Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days for JCPS students and staff.

While our crews report that most main roads are in good shape, many side streets and neighborhood roads across the county remain hazardous. Due to these lingering conditions and low temperatures, we believe transitioning to NTI is the safest choice for our students and staff.

Students should follow their school’s established NTI protocols. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.

All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Wednesday and Thursday. If there are any changes to the YMCA CEP program, families will be notified by YMCA CEP.

Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility as we navigate these winter conditions. Please stay warm and safe.

Lassiter Families, January 25, 2026 Due to the snow, ice, and hazardous road conditions throughout the county, we have made the decision to use traditional snow days for students and staff on Monday, Jan. 26 and Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026. There is NO NTI ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY. All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled. If there are any changes to YMCA CEP, families will be notified by CEP. Good morning Lassiter Families, Report cards will now be distributed electronically and emailed directly to parents and guardians; we will no longer be printing paper copies. To ensure timely delivery of this important information, families are asked to keep their email addresses up to date with the school and to regularly monitor their inboxes (including spam or junk folders) for school communications. Thank you for your cooperation as we move to this more efficient and environmentally friendly process.
