Bus 1434 Families, please be aware that bus 1434 has made about half of its route but is currently stuck. We do not know the length of the delay for the remainder of the run. The garage is on their way to help get the bus unstuck. We will update you as we learn more.

JCPS will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, 2/2/26.
Bus stop times are two hours later than their normal time. Please be patient as bus drivers will be extra cautious to ensure the safety of all students.
If your student is a walker, then please make sure your student's route to school is safe.
Car riders, please allow extra time for your morning arrival. Candleworth and many neighborhood roads are far from perfect, so please be extra cautious in the car rider line.
Doors will open at 9:00 AM for students.
We will dismiss at normal time, and all after school athletic and extracurricular activities remain as planned.

NTI DAY | Today, our teams spent the day evaluating road conditions and school campuses across the District. While many main roads remain in good shape, several side streets and neighborhood roadways are still icy.
These conditions have led us to utilize another Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day on Friday, January 30. Students should follow their school-specific NTI instructions. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.

TECHNICAL ISSUE | We’re aware of a technical issue with the Parent Portal that is causing some 2026–27 school year enrollment information to display incorrectly. Our IT team is actively working to resolve the issue, and we anticipate it will be fixed by next week.

Due to the snow, ice, and hazardous road conditions throughout the county, we have made the decision to use traditional snow days for students and staff on Monday, Jan. 26 and Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026.
There is NO NTI ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY.
All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled. If there are any changes to YMCA CEP, families will be notified by CEP.
We will re-evaluate the conditions on Tuesday and provide an update on Wednesday's schedule as early as possible so our families and staff have time to prepare.
