2025 Take What You Can Tote! Family Event Flyer

Registration opens soon for the annual Take What You Can Tote! Family Event on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Clothing Assistance Program (CAP) Warehouse.

Hosted by the Jefferson County Public Schools Diversity, Equity, and Poverty Division in partnership with the 15th District PTA, the event offers free new and gently used items for JCPS families. The warehouse will feature clothing for all ages, books, household items, toys, and a few surprise items while supplies last.

"For many JCPS families, this is a fun annual tradition because they know it's worth their time,” said Justin Willis, JCPS parent relations coordinator. “Our goal is that people leave with something helpful or at least something new-to-them. It's possible to find things for yourself and things for family members. Many people will leave this event with little treasure for loved ones. We're proud to encourage that kindness."

This year, families will shop in 20-minute timed groups, which helps keep the line moving and ensures a safe and comfortable experience.

Registration is required; walk-ins are not permitted. Bags will be provided, and interpreters will be present.

How to Register

Families should contact their school’s Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) coordinator or Youth Services Center coordinator for middle and high school. Some community agencies may also register families. To qualify, a household must have at least one child enrolled in a JCPS school.

The registration link will open the week after Thanksgiving and may close early if capacity is reached. Families are encouraged to contact their FRYSC before Thanksgiving break to secure a spot.
