Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) Superintendent Dr. Brian Yearwood is launching "Community Conversations with Dr. Brian Yearwood," a new series of public forums designed to foster open dialogue and direct engagement between the district and the community it serves. These events will take place at high schools throughout the district over the coming weeks and months.
"Community Conversations" offer a unique opportunity for parents, students, staff and all interested community members to connect directly with Yearwood. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, share their perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of the superintendent's mission and vision for the future of JCPS. Yearwood, who began his tenure as JCPS superintendent on July 1, 2025, is eager to build strong relationships rooted in trust and transparency, emphasizing a shared commitment between the community and the school district for student success.
"I believe that the strength of our schools lies in the strength of our relationships with the people we serve," Yearwood said. "These Community Conversations are essential for me to listen, learn and collaborate with our families, students and dedicated staff. Your insights are invaluable as we work together to ensure every JCPS student has access to an exceptional education that nurtures their individual strengths and prepares them for a successful life."
The forums are designed to be interactive and informative, providing a platform for two-way communication as the district continues its focus on increasing student achievement. Yearwood's background, marked by a proven track record of boosting student achievement and building community partnerships, underscores his commitment to this direct engagement.
All events are free and open to the public.
