Due to inclement weather, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, will be a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day for JCPS students and staff. All JCPS buildings are closed and all after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled.
SCHOOL APPLICATION ASSISTANCE | The JCPS School Application Period remains open through Dec. 19. If you need help submitting your application for the 2026-27 school year, the Office of School Choice will be on-site at the Newburg Library this Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. You can also receive assistance from the Office of School Choice, M-F, over the phone at (502) 485-6250 or at the LAM building.

Turkey Trot is coming up on Tuesday, November 25, and we’re excited to see everyone out there! Quick rundown for the day:
• Parking opens at 1:00 PM — please do not arrive before 1:00 PM.
• K–1 race starts at 1:30 PM.
• 2nd–5th will run right after K-1 finishes.
• Once you park, you’ll need to stay until the races finish and the roads reopen.
• No early sign-outs.
• Make sure students wear tennis shoes and dress for the weather.

All JCPS schools and buildings will open and operate as normal on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025. Our crews tested the water and air quality at all of our schools and buildings today and everything came back normal. Louisville Metro Government officials have also informed us that it is safe to reopen schools. Our thoughts remain with all those affected by Tuesday’s tragic plane crash.
