We are excited to announce Amber Parker as our new School Counselor. Mrs. Parker has served as Medora’s Mental Health Practitioner since 2019. During her time as our MHP, she has provided individual and group counseling for students to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs. She taught monthly SEL lessons, delivered suicide prevention education and responded to safety concerns. Most importantly Mrs. Parker built relationships with students, staff and families. Prior to coming to JCPS, Mrs. Parker worked at Norton Children’s Hospital in the Ackerly Child Psychiatric Unit where she gained knowledge and experience with supporting children and their families.
