❄NTI DAY | Due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions throughout the county, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, will be a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day for students and staff.
On short-term NTI days, instruction is asynchronous and self-paced, meaning students will not receive live, online lessons from a teacher. Families received school-specific NTI plans last week. NTI Days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.
All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled. If there are any changes to YMCA CEP, families will be notified by CEP.
The community forum originally scheduled for Tuesday evening at the Center for Professional Learning has been rescheduled. It will now take place on Thursday, November 4, from 5–6 p.m. at Stewart Auditorium.

We are being proactive (think Habit #1!) and communicating our Bates Elementary Short Term NTI Plan. We will follow this plan in the event of future weather events and school closures. As always, we will communicate any schools closing via our school website and social media channels. You may want to bookmark this information.
Beginning in November, Chromebooks will be sent home with all students. A charged Chromebook should be kept in students' backpacks and go back and forth between home and school each day.
Please reach out to your child's teacher with any questions or concerns.

Please return the form that was sent home with your student. Each student who completes the challenge and returns their form will be given a special reward!
