Our mission at Crosby is to support every student in achieving academic, social, and emotional success. To achieve this, we lean into what we know about adolescent development. Middle school brains are growing at a rapid pace, and during this time, students rely on us to help facilitate the lifelong habits that lead to success. Because of this developmental stage, you may notice that our teachers provide constant, daily reminders regarding organization, deadlines, and social interactions. These aren't just Crosby "rules," they are the scaffolding we use to help your student build a successful future.
While we provide ample grace and reminders for developing habits, we are also committed to maintaining the high standards that make Crosby #ThePlaceToBe. This consistency allows all students to feel secure and ensures that our classrooms remain spaces where everyone can reach their next level.

As we wrap up the first semester and look toward the winter break, we want to share some exciting developments regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how we are using it to enhance the learning experience for all Crosby students.
In the classroom, our teachers are learning to use AI tools that help them manage their workload more efficiently. These tools don't replace the teacher; rather, they give back the valuable resource of time by assisting with lesson preparation and organizing materials. This means our teachers can spend more focused, quality time directly interacting with and supporting your student.
The goal of AI in our classrooms is to elevate our teaching. By using these tools, we can ensure our instruction is high-quality, which sparks new ideas and constantly improves the incredible work our staff does every day.
I encourage you to have conversations at home about how technology, including AI, can be a supportive tool for learning and organization. Due to forecasted frigid temperatures in the early morning hours on Monday, December 15, 2025, we have made the decision to use a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day for students and staff. Temperatures are expected to warm throughout the day so all after school athletic and extracurricular activities will go on as scheduled.
ONE WEEK | Reminder! The Application Period for the 2026–27 school year closes in one week. Families with incoming kindergarten, 6th, or 9th-grade students who live in the Choice Zone will need to select between their close-to-home or their far-away school options before next Friday’s deadline.
