The Health Science Academy was proud to shine a light on two incredible students for the month of October: Malacci and Jaeline!
These compassionate leaders went above and beyond by dedicating their time and talents to support peers in need. Their selflessness and empathy make them true role models in our community and exemplify the heart of what it means to be a Health Science student.
Join us in celebrating Malacci and Jaeline — your kindness inspires us all! #HSAspotlight #CompassionInAction #FutureHealthLeaders

Doss DECA is selling Domino's slice the price discount cards through November 11. Each card costs $20. These cards are good for large pizzas at Domino's. Every pizza that you purchase earns you another one for free! Buy one, get one… Buy five, get five pizzas! Cards can be used as many times as you'd like between now and June 30, 2026. Funds raised will help our students pay competition fees for this winter. If you buy online, the card will be mailed directly to you and our chapter will still get credit. Thank you for your support!

Today was our first Club Day at Doss! It's always exciting to see our Dragons take pride in their interests. Some of our celebrations include:

-Volleyball increased their participation by 15 students for the next season.
-Trivia students managed to explore some post-secondary options with Ms. Pat.
Way to go on Club Day everyone!

Due of the federal government shutdown, Kentucky has been told that November 2025 SNAP benefits may be delayed if the shutdown continues. It is not yet known if November benefits will be loaded on your EBT card on time, or at all, as the shutdown continues.
As soon as the federal government reopens or provides funding, the Cabinet will load benefits to EBT cards as soon as possible.
What you need to know:
You will still get your October benefits.
You can keep using any benefits already on your EBT card.
This issue does not affect your eligibility for SNAP.
DCBS offices are open and still taking and processing applications.
This includes benefits from the Simplified Assistance for the Elderly (SAFE) and Elderly Simplified Application Project (ESAP) programs.
You can find food assistance and other resources at kynect.ky.gov/resources.
For the latest updates, visit chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dcbs, check your kynect.ky.gov account, or watch for official DCBS texts or emails.
Contact Ms. Scott, our YSC, for additional information.
