SCHOOL APPLICATION ASSISTANCE | The JCPS School Application Period remains open through Dec. 19. If you need help submitting your application for the 2026-27 school year, the Office of School Choice will be on-site at the Newburg Library this Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. You can also receive assistance from the Office of School Choice, M-F, over the phone at (502) 485-6250 or at the LAM building.

All JCPS schools and buildings will open and operate as normal on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025. Our crews tested the water and air quality at all of our schools and buildings today and everything came back normal. Louisville Metro Government officials have also informed us that it is safe to reopen schools. Our thoughts remain with all those affected by Tuesday’s tragic plane crash.

Today, our teams are checking the air and water quality at all of our schools and buildings. We are doing these checks out of an abundance of caution, as the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

Farnsley: All JCPS buildings and schools are closed Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 due to the necessary shelter-in-place order issued by the city due to Tuesday evening’s tragic plane crash. All Farnsley extracurricular activities and athletics are also canceled. This includes all games, practices and tryouts.
