‼️ 4 DAYS LEFT | Don’t wait! There are only 4 days left to apply for the 2026-27 school year. As a reminder, if your student is entering kindergarten or has never attended a JCPS school, you must register online first to get your access key. If you need assistance, call 502-485-6250.

Due to forecasted frigid temperatures in the early morning hours on Monday, December 15, 2025, we have made the decision to use a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day for students and staff. Temperatures are expected to warm throughout the day so all after school athletic and extracurricular activities will go on as scheduled.

ONE WEEK | Reminder! The Application Period for the 2026–27 school year closes in one week. Families with incoming kindergarten, 6th, or 9th-grade students who live in the Choice Zone will need to select between their close-to-home or their far-away school options before next Friday’s deadline.

Hello Goldsmith Families!
Did you know that every week and every month the classrooms compete for BEST attendance?!
The districtwide attendance goal is 96% which averages out to approximately one student absent in each classroom daily. We encourage our students and teachers to strive for this goal. Each day they reach the goal they earn a blue ticket as part of our PBIS system . And if they reach the 96% goal for the month they get a special attendance prize!
The October Attendance Prize was SWEET TREATS and 9 different classes earned their choice of cookies, brownies, muffins, rice krispy treats, or fruit snacks. Congratulations!
The classes with best attendance in November will earn the chance to throw a pie in a staff member's face! Students in the winning classes who have perfect attendance this month will be the ones to throw the pies.
We know that the change in weather sometimes brings about a lot of sniffles and sickness. Please review the health policies about when it is appropriate to send your child to school or keep them home. This webpage also has more information about all of our attendance policies - https://www.jefferson.kyschools.us/o/goldsmith/page/attendance-polices
Thanks for working together to promote positive attitudes about attendance and for making attendance a priority for your student(s) so they can continue to GROW and GLOW academically, socially, and emotionally.
