July 13, 2026 Dear Hartstern Families, I hope you and your family have had a wonderful summer! As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we are excited to welcome you back. At Hartstern Elementary, we believe greatness is achieved when schools and families work together, maintain high expectations, and create a safe, nurturing environment where every scholar can learn, grow, and thrive. Your partnership is one of the most important factors in your child's success, and we are grateful to have you as part of the Hartstern family. What's New This Year ClassDojo Communication This year, Hartstern will use ClassDojo as our main communication tool. Families will be automatically connected by August 5. Please update your email and phone number in the Parent Portal to receive important messages. Important Dates July 28: Kindergarten Screener (9:30-4:30) July 29: Kindergarten Camp (9:30 a.m.–12:30) August 4: Meet the Teacher (3:00–4:30 p.m.) August 6: First Day of School for Students September 15: Open House (5:30–7:00 p.m.) Together, we will continue building a school where students love to learn, families feel welcomed, and every scholar has the opportunity to succeed. 🚨 ACTION REQUIRED | TODAY IS THE FINAL DAY! 🚨We need to know how your child will get to and from school for the 2026-27 school year.

Today, June 8, 2026, is the final day to request bus transportation for the first day of school. Every JCPS family must complete the Transportation Verification (TV) form to let us know your plans.

Eligible bus riders who fill out the form by the end of the day today will be notified of their bus stop location in July via the JCPS Bus Teller. Don't delay—get your request in now!

Moore HS will be sponsoring a Elementary Wrestling Summer Camp. A great summer opportunity for incoming 1st-5th grade boys and girls to learn the fundamentals of the sport of wrestling.
