Dear J.F. Kennedy Families,
We hope you’ve had a restful and joyful summer! As we gear up for an exciting new school year, the entire JFK team is eagerly preparing to welcome back our students and families.


We invite you to join us for our Teacher Meet and Greet on Monday, August 4th. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and start the year off strong. Please plan to attend during your scheduled time:
Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
3rd, 4th & 5th Grade: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM


The first day of school is Thursday, August 7th. Our school hours are 9:40 AM to 4:20 PM, and our doors open at 9:10 AM. Please note:
Students may NOT arrive before 9:10 AM.
The car rider line is open from 9:10 AM until 9:37 AM. (located in the back of JFK)
Students must be inside the building by 9:40 AM to be on time.
Walkers should enter through the 38th Street side door entrance.
Car riders may NOT be dropped off on 38th Street. Families must use the designated car rider line for student drop-off and pick-up.


Transportation changes need to be submitted no later than 3:30 pm. You will need to text the school at (502) 485-8280. Submit your child’s name and the change being made for the day.


We’re looking forward to a fantastic school year filled with growth, learning, and connection. Thank you for your partnership as we work together to make this year a success for every child.

🐴 GIDDY UP FOR GREATNESS | JCPS celebrated 80 McKinney-Vento students and their families today with a powerful closing ceremony at Wilt Elementary.
