🌟 DAY OF SERVICE | More than 200 JCPS middle school student leaders stepped up to give back across Louisville today. Explore Ambassadors volunteered at 11 different organizations—making a real impact in our community. 👥 The largest group—70+ Explore Ambassadors from seven schools—packed food boxes at Love the Hungry. 🪑 25 students from Ramsey Middle built chairs and bicycles for refugee families’ apartments with Catholic Charities of Louisville. We’re so proud of these young leaders who are choosing to lead with heart, service, and purpose!

🎲🏠 Future planning in action! Our Build & Design students got a hands-on lesson in life management by playing The Game of Life! 🤯 Before even rolling the dice, they designed their own versions, tackling real-world challenges like cost of living 💸 and family expenses 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. In the end, they tallied their experiences to see if they lived within their means! 🤔 What a creative way to consider their futures! 🚀

🎭📚 Shakespeare comes to life! Our amazing Seniors and Theater 2 students had the incredible opportunity to see a live performance of Macbeth by the fantastic Kentucky Shakespeare! 🌳👑 After diving deep into the text in their English classes, this was the perfect way to truly visualize the play as it was intended. They even got to chat with the actors and crew afterward, learning all about the magic behind the theater process! 🤩🎬

BIG Thank you to the National Honor Society Members, the faculty and staff who have supported the American Red Cross Blood Drive this year. We collected 97 units of Blood during the 24/25 school year! Although we missed the 100 unit mark by 3, the NHS senior with the most devoted service will still earn the $500 scholarship. Also, shout out to Mrs. Payne, Mrs. Kidwell, Ms. Kidwell (mother and daughter), Mrs. Bagshaw, Ms. Kirk, Ms. OBrien, Ms. Laskee, Mr. Roberts and Ms. Johnson for taking their time to give their blood to this wonderful community! I always appreciate the Health Science Teachers (Mrs. Ahearn, Ms. Kirk and Ms. OBrien) who host the Regional Director each year to not only describe the reason for Blood drives, but promote the jobs of phlebotomy, nursing assistant, nursing and medical assistant to our Health Science Academy students.
