HEAT UPDATE | Friday JCPS outdoor athletics start time moved to 8 p.m.
Due to the heat advisory on Friday, September 4, JCPS schools must adhere to the following updated schedule requirements:
- Football Games: Must now start at 8 p.m. or later (pushed back from 7 p.m.)
- Outdoor Practices and Other Competitions: Must be held in the morning or start at 8 p.m. or later
Reminder: All outdoor practices and competitions remain canceled today, Thursday, September 3.

We are looking for parents and students to serve on the YSC Advisory Council with the purpose to provide feedback and input about YSC services, programs, budget, grant compliance, and family needs.
The Council meets virtually five times a year in Sept., Nov., Jan., March, and May for one hour and members serve a minimum one year term.
The council is made up of parents, students, community members, LMS staff and YSC Coordinator. If serving as a parent representative, it is helpful if your child also serves as an LMS student representative or parents can serve as a community member without their student.
Our first meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 2:15-3:15, at which time we will discuss future meeting dates and times. If you are interested, please text Ms. Davis at 502-214-7368. Thank you.
