Dear Newcomer Academy families,

I’m writing to let you know about a situation that’s impacting our school.

Today, someone not connected to our school made a threat against one of our students. We have been in contact with that student’s family.

We take any threat against our school community seriously, and we have asked JCPS Police to be at our school during today’s dismissal. We are doing this out of an abundance of caution. We have also increased the security level at our building.

If you have any questions, feel free to call the school office.

Newcomer Academy - Transportation - Welcome to the start of the 2025-2026 school year!

Our first day of school is on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Classes begin at 7:30 AM and end at 2:10 PM. Our school opens at 7:00 AM.
