📣 ATTN: Incoming 6th-Grade Families!
We want to share a few important updates regarding our upcoming orientation events. We know transitioning to middle school is a big milestone, and we want to make sure you and your student feel completely prepared!
🧭 Camp Crosby vs. General Orientation: What’s the Difference?
We’ve received a few questions about our upcoming dates. Here is a quick breakdown of the two different events we are hosting:
Camp Crosby 6th Grade Orientation (Next Week — Wednesday or Thursday, depending on last name)
Who: Students only.
What: A full-day experience dedicated to helping students get to know their peers. It features team-building activities, an introduction to middle school expectations, academic overviews, and transition tips.
General Orientation (Late July)
Who: Students and parents.
What: A brief, casual open-house. This is your time to come in together to grab your student's official schedule, take a quick walk to find their classrooms, sign up for sports and clubs, visit the bookstore, and stock up on spirit wear.
📅 Alternate Dates & Key Details
Can't make Camp Crosby next week? No worries at all! If your student has to miss it, we highly recommend attending the General Orientation instead.
General Orientation Dates & Times:
Wednesday, July 29th: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Thursday, July 30th: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Attendance: While neither Camp Crosby nor the General Orientation are strictly mandatory, we strongly encourage your family to stop by for one of the General Orientation windows on July 29th or 30th.
📝 Missed all the dates? Don't panic! If you are unable to attend any of these sessions, all student schedules will be officially posted to the Parent Portal by August 1st.
We can't wait to welcome your 6th graders to the school family! Let us know if you have any questions.

Before that final summer bell rings this Friday, I want to send a thank you to all of our parents, guardians, and families across Crosby Nation. You have navigated every twist, turn, and milestone of this year with incredible patience, partnership, and dedication to your children's success. Simply put: we couldn't do this without you! You are a vital part of the team, and we are so grateful for your support.
As we head into these last few days, let’s keep our goals for the week simple and positive:
Finish Strong and Safe: Help us keep the students focused, engaged, and safe right up until the final dismissal.
Celebrate the Growth: Take a moment with your child to look back at how much they’ve learned, grown, and achieved since August. They've earned it!
Spread the Gratitude: If you have a moment, join us in sending messages to teachers, staff, and bus drivers who have poured their hearts into supporting our students this year.
Thank you for an incredible school year and for trusting us with your children every day. Let’s make these last few days safe, memorable, and full of Crosby pride at #ThePlaceToBe
