As always, this is one of the most fun weeks of the summer. Our goal is to help runners prepare to run for fun, fitness, and competition. We work hard, enjoy some great guest speakers, and have fun with games and activities to help prepare athletes for cross country season (or build fitness for any fall sport).

To ensure your student has a seat on the bus for the upcoming 2026-27 school year, Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) requires all families to complete the Transportation Verification form.
Even if your student currently rides the bus, you must confirm your needs for the new school year to help the district plan efficient routes and minimize delays.

Crosby Girls Volleyball:
Any current 6th or 7th grade girls, or incoming 5th graders, interested in trying out for JV or Varsity Volleyball this summer, parents and guardians, please join our SportsYou team app to ensure you the most recent information about tryout dates, times, parent meetings, etc.

6th Grade-Wed., July 15th, 2:00-3:00 (this is the last hour of the Crosby Summer Camp) You do not have to attend the camp to participate in tryouts.
All players must have a current 2026/27 JCPS/KHSAA Physical Packet completed prior to participating. Physical packets are downloadable from the Crosby Athletics webpage, or on the Sportsyou team page.

This summer, we will host a 4-day camp to support summer learning and offer fun sports and activities for our 2026-27 students. Complete details and the sign-up link are below:
-July 13th - 14th: All Grade Levels are invited, from 9 AM to 3 PM.
-July 15th - 16th: 6th Grade Only, from 9 AM - 3 PM - Make sure to register by last name on the sign-up form.

It is hard to believe, but we have officially entered the final two weeks of the school year! While the excitement of summer is definitely in the air, we are committed to making sure every minute of these last few days counts. Even as end-of-year projects and special activities begin, we are maintaining our "bell-to-bell" structure in every classroom. We know that students feel most successful when they know exactly what to expect. By keeping our daily routines consistent, we help everyone stay focused and calm, even when "summer mode" starts to kick in.

Get ready for the upcoming tryouts for next season. We are holding 2 open gyms this week.
Tuesday, 5/12 and Thursday, 5/14-3:30-5:00. This is open to all students, playing on the team last year is not a requirement.
Open gyms are optional and not required to try out this summer!
All players must have a current JCPS/KHSAA physical packet.

This week is a truly special one as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week here at Crosby! I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible educators who make Crosby more than just a school building; they make it a family.
Our teachers are the heartbeat of our culture; their tireless dedication, their support for one another, and their unwavering passion for your children are what make Crosby #ThePlaceToBe!
As we move through KSA testing this week, our staff is working hard to be "lighthouses" for our kids, guiding them with smiles, positive vibes, and the confidence they need to shine. Help our students stay "KSA-mazing" by ensuring they get plenty of rest and a great breakfast before testing!
Please join me this week in showering our teachers with gratitude. A quick note of thanks or a kind word goes a long way in celebrating the people who invest so much in our students' futures.
Current 6th and 7th Graders
We will be holding 3 open gyms prior to the end of school to prepare for the upcoming fall season. ALL girls are welcome to attend, this is not limited to players from last season.
We will be focusing on basic skills and fundamentals to prepare for fall tryouts this summer. If your daughter is interested in trying out, this is a great opportunity to get a feel of the skills I will be looking for at tryouts.
ALL Participants must have a completed physical packet. If your athlete has played or tried out for a sport this school year, they will be good to go.
Open Gyms:
Tuesday, May 5th, Tuesday, May 12th, and Thursday, May 14th, 3:30-5:00, Crosby Gym. Make sure to wear gym shoes!
