TECHNICAL ISSUE | We’re aware of a technical issue with the Parent Portal that is causing some 2026–27 school year enrollment information to display incorrectly. Our IT team is actively working to resolve the issue, and we anticipate it will be fixed by next week.

We’ll share an update once the issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

❄ NTI DAYS | After evaluating road conditions throughout the community, Wednesday, Jan. 28 and Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, will be Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days for JCPS students and staff.

While our crews report that most main roads are in good shape, many side streets and neighborhood roads across the county remain hazardous. Due to these lingering conditions and low temperatures, we believe transitioning to NTI is the safest choice for our students and staff.

Students should follow their school’s established NTI protocols. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.

All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Wednesday and Thursday. If there are any changes to the YMCA CEP program, families will be notified by YMCA CEP.

Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility as we navigate these winter conditions. Please stay warm and safe.

Newcomer Academy Families - January 28 and 29 will be an NTI day (non-traditional instruction). Students will sign on to Google Classroom and find assignments to complete. They will be posted by 9:00 am. Our teachers will also have times when students can meet with them on Google Meets. Please see the attached images for more information. Newcomer Academy families - Due to snow and hazardous road conditions, Monday, Jan. 26 and Tuesday, Jan 27, 2026 will be traditional snow days without online learning.

Classes are canceled on Monday and Tuesday of this week - no NTI.

All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled.

JCPS will re-evaluate conditions on Tuesday and provide an update on Wednesday's schedule as early as possible so families have time to prepare.

Due to forecasted frigid temperatures in the early morning hours on Monday, December 15, 2025, we have made the decision to use a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day for students and staff. Temperatures are expected to warm throughout the day so all after school athletic and extracurricular activities will go on as scheduled.
