SCHOOL APPLICATION ASSISTANCE | The JCPS School Application Period remains open through Dec. 19. If you need help submitting your application for the 2026-27 school year, the Office of School Choice will be on-site at the Newburg Library this Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. You can also receive assistance from the Office of School Choice, M-F, over the phone at (502) 485-6250 or at the LAM building.

Community Application Event. 12/03/2025. 5:30 to 7 pm. Newburg Library, 4800 Exeter Ave., Louisville, KY 40218. Join us for information about school choices and assistance with submitting applications.
The Southern High School Book Club is having a book sale.  All hardcover books will cost $3, and all paperback books will cost $2.  Students can stop by the library anytime during the month of December to make a purchase.  This is a great time to stock up on gifts for the holiday season.

Dear Southern Parents/Guardians & Students,

The second term progress reports are now available in the parent/student portal. In the portal, click the menu bars at the top left corner & select Documents. Under Report Card click the Portal Report Card. You can access the student transcript in the parent/student portal under documents as well by clicking "portal transcript".

If you need a hard copy of the first grading period report, please call the school at 485-8330 to request a copy be mailed home.

If there are any questions regarding what your student needs to graduate, please review the link below of Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) minimum graduation requirements.
