UPDATES: Softball Tryouts

Rocky Durham, a Doss graduate 1997, won wrestling official of the year. Dragon Nation is proud of your accomplishments!

Our Multilingual Freshmen practiced expressive language by writing and acting out scripts for scenes from Romeo and Juliet. There was a lot of hard work and laughter involved.





In December, a team made up of Doss Marketing seniors Dawntay Porter, Indiana Dawson, and Lorsten Silbanez won first place in the JuniorAchievement Stock Market Challenge. Today, they were invited downtown Louisville to spend the day shadowing investment brokers, data research analysts, AI specialists, portfolio managers, and learning from the founders of River Road Asset Management group. The knowledge, hospitality, and opportunities provided to our students today were second to none. Thank you to Andrew Beck, co-founder, and his HR team (Liz and Morgan) for taking the time to invest in our local schools and students today. Louisville is fortunate to have a company like River Road in her downtown area.

Our annual International Festival is coming up soon. Students in ELD and World Languages classes are excited to travel the world with you! Sign up with the QR code to present your country on April 24!

Students attending the DECA state competition in the Marketing and Finance pathways at Doss High School as well as a few students in the Teaching and Learning pathway were invited to Dress for Success in Louisville on Tuesday, February 24.
This sponsorship provided our young ladies with information about professionalism, soft skills, interview skills, and ways they can find empowerment as young women in today’s society through professional dress. The program provided each student with two professional dress outfits along with consultations with private styling consultants.
Thank you to our business partner, GEA, Angela Thomas with GEA, and Billyjo at Dress for Success and all of the volunteers for making this a great experience for our young ladies. Also, a special "Thank You" to Malones for providing lunch to students and the volunteers.

Doss High School freshmen have been learning about work place ethics in their Career Seminar classes. On Tuesday, February 10th, members of the Human Resources team from GE Appliances shared how those skills are crucial to success in the workplace.
