⏰ Date & Time: Friday, March 6 | 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
📍 Location: VanHoose Education Center (3332 Newburg Road)

All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Wednesday. If there are any changes to the YMCA CEP program, families will be notified by YMCA CEP.

Be on the lookout for grade-specific emails about our Doss High School Scheduling Blitz that will take place in classes next week with your students! Included in that email will be information about all our Academy pathways and the expectations for each academy.

Thank you to our JCPS school counselors for all you do!

As always, we encourage everyone to use caution and their best judgment when traveling to and from school.
We appreciate your continued support of our students and staff throughout JCPS.

DELAYED START| All JCPS schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, February 2, 2026. Early Childhood classes are canceled for the day. All after school athletic events and extracurricular activities remain as scheduled. There is no change to dismissal times.
A delayed start will allow students to be at bus stops and walking to school in the daylight.

These conditions have led us to utilize another Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day on Friday, January 30. Students should follow their school-specific NTI instructions. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.
All athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Note: Updates may take up to 24 hours to show up in the app.

We’ll share an update once the issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

While our crews report that most main roads are in good shape, many side streets and neighborhood roads across the county remain hazardous. Due to these lingering conditions and low temperatures, we believe transitioning to NTI is the safest choice for our students and staff.
Students should follow their school’s established NTI protocols. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.
All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Wednesday and Thursday. If there are any changes to the YMCA CEP program, families will be notified by YMCA CEP.
Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility as we navigate these winter conditions. Please stay warm and safe.

This week, we're proud to recognize Jayden Lopez and Raul Osorio Zetino, two incredible Dragons who made the decision to enlist in the Kentucky National Guard last year. After completing boot camp this summer, they returned to Doss to continue their senior year -- bringing their newfound sense of resilience and leadership into our classrooms. These young men represent the strength, responsibility, and determination that we love about our Doss community. We're proud to celebrate Jayden and Raul and are grateful for their commitment to serve!

Our Dragons are leveling up their tech skills! Congratulations to Raikol, David Cain, A'niyah, Jakobe, Chris, Josh, Maddox, Trent, Jakeb, Antonia, and Taylor. These students earned their IC3 GS6 Level 1 Digital Literacy Certification—an industry-recognized credential that demonstrates digital and workplace readiness skills.
