Our Hawthorne Family Resource Center is collecting donations of non-perishable, kid-friendly food to help Blessings students over Fall Break!
🛒 This weekend is the perfect time to pick up a few extra items while you’re out shopping!
Items can be dropped off at the HFRC office or school front office, Sept 15–19, labeled “Blessings” with your student’s name.
Let’s fill those backpacks with love and snacks! 🧃🥫🍎

📖✨ LEAMOS JUNTOS | Hawthorne Elementary School lit up with culture and community at its 4th annual Hispanic Heritage Read-In! 🌍 Volunteers representing nine different countries shared stories, traditions, and pride with students to help kick off National Hispanic Heritage Month—which officially begins on Sept. 15—in the best way! 🎉

From parents to community leaders, college students, and high school volunteers—our guest readers shared stories in Spanish, English, and Spanglish throughout the building. Our Hawks showed up strong with 97% attendance—that’s almost everyone soaring together! Every student present earned an attendance ribbon to remind us that being here, on time, every day is the key to academic success. 🌟

Our lost and found is starting to collect lots of goodies! Please look through the pictures and see if you recognize anything! If you do, send your child to the lost and found cabinet in the hallway! This is a good reminder to put your child's name on everything!
