As part of a comprehensive district realignment, Jefferson County Public Schools Superintendent Brian Yearwood has launched a national search for four executive leadership roles.
On April 21, 2026, the Jefferson County Board of Education approved hiring the external search firm Ray & Associates to recruit for the following positions:
Chief Business Officer
Executive Officer of Finance
Executive Officer of Information Technology
Executive Officer of Talent
These roles are critical to Dr. Yearwood’s vision for a more efficient, responsive and student-centered district infrastructure.
Because these searches are now being managed by an external firm, the application process has changed. Anyone who previously applied for these specific positions through the standard JCPS portal must reapply using the search firm links provided below. Previous applications will not automatically transfer to the search firm's database.
Yearwood said he is committed to finding the right fit for these roles, and each position will remain posted until filled. Interested candidates are encouraged to review the job descriptions and submit applications via the following links:
Through this realignment, JCPS is positioning itself to better support schools, optimize financial resources and modernize the district's technological and human capital frameworks.
"Our goal is to build a leadership team that is not only highly skilled but also deeply aligned with our mission to improve outcomes for every student, every year," Yearwood said. "This realignment is about accountability and ensuring we have the right experts in place to drive the district forward."
