Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) has named Stephanie Roberts as the new principal of Dixie Elementary School. Roberts brings nearly two decades of diverse educational experience within JCPS and Kentucky to her new leadership role. She holds an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands, alongside a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Louisville.

Roberts most recently served as the Assistant Principal at Goldsmith Elementary, a position she held since March 2023. Throughout her career, she has built a strong reputation for championing equitable learning environments and implementing robust Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Her extensive background includes serving as a district CCEIS Supervisor, an MTSS District Resource Teacher, and a Kentucky Department of Education Recovery Specialist.

Before transitioning into administration, Roberts spent eight years in the classroom as a teacher at McFerran Preparatory Academy and Cochrane Elementary, later serving as Cochrane’s Academic Instructional Coach. This deep well of experience in instructional coaching, professional development, and data-driven school improvement has prepared her to foster a highly collaborative and successful culture at Dixie Elementary.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the students and staff at Dixie Elementary," Roberts said. "I am committed to ensuring that our students, staff, families, and community members feel like an essential part of the school. I will prioritize the growth and well-being of the Dixie community. I look forward to capitalizing on the momentum of the current success at Dixie Elementary while fostering a rich learning environment where all students succeed."
