Happy Teacher Appreciation Week. To: Mrs. Lopez. Fern Creek High School Dear Mrs. Lopez, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for everything you've done for me. When I look back on my high school experience, I don’t think about or talk about my grade in your class, but rather, I remember and talk about you. There were days when I needed more than just a teacher, and somehow, you always knew. You are someone who listens without judging, someone who can make anyone feel safe and welcome. Now, as I’m about to graduate high school, I can wholeheartedly say you were one of the most important people in my high school journey. You changed me in ways I didn’t even realize at the time. You made me realize that I really can do anything I put my mind to. I don't think I've said it enough and I will continue to say it, thank you Mrs. Lopez. From Itzel R. 12th Grade Fern Creek High School

🏈 ALUM SPOTLIGHT 🎥 | Congratulations to Butler Traditional High School media alum Jose Jose! In March, Jose worked on the FOX TV crew for the first ever UFL Louisville Kings Football game, making him the youngest Butler alum in school history to work in National TV.

After that first game, he quickly earned a promotion—from runner to parabolic mic operator, a key technical role capturing on-field sound during live broadcasts. At just 18, he remains the youngest member of the production crew.

Congratulations, Jose! We’re excited to see what you accomplish next.
